On February 7, 2025, the AI Day took place at the University of Bayreuth – an inspiring event with exciting lectures, practical presentations and lively discussions about artificial intelligence and data science. Scientists and experts from business and research came together to discuss current developments, use cases and challenges in this dynamic field.
Sebastian Wind was on site for NHR@FAU and presented the center’s offerings and competences in the field of AI. Of great interest were NHR@FAU’s powerful AI systems accessible through the NHR program and the BayernKI program of the Free State of Bavaria. The recently announced BayernKI infrastructure, which is jointly operated at NHR@FAU and the LRZ, was a focus topic in the discussions.
The personal exchange with numerous scientists already performing projects at NHR@FAU was particularly pleasing and resulted in valuable conversations. In addition to helpful tips on the efficient use of the cutting-edge AI systems, Sebastian provided an overview of the comprehensive user support and invited interested visitors to participate in the center’s user training.
A big thank you to the organizers of the University of Bayreuth for this successful event – we look forward to the next AI Day!
